Located at 140 Elmwood Ave in North Bay, ON, Elmwood is a newly redeveloped community space offering easy access to essential programs and services that support local families and foster resilience. In partnership with local organizations, Elmwood provides resources tailored to meet the diverse needs of area residents.
The facility includes a community kitchen, gym, youth hub, imagination studio with instruments, tech, and art supplies, a sports equipment rental program, fenced courtyard, clothing boutique, food pantry, laundry, and meeting rooms. Elmwood hosts on-site Early Intervention Services and two ECPP classrooms with the Near North District School Board, and offers access to a Nurse Practitioner via VON and the North Bay Regional Health Centre.
Elmwood delivers nightly youth programming with Hands the Family Help Network, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and The City of North Bay. Our Ready, Set, Go! program supports mental health, art, physical activity, social and cultural development, and life skills. As a satellite EarlyON site, we offer drop-in programs for families and seniors, serving people of all ages. Elmwood thrives through grants, donations, and partnerships. Located at 140 Elmwood Ave in North Bay ON Elmwood houses an extensive number of resources and programming in collaboration with various community organizations.
The Beauchamp Youth Hub and Imagination Studio provide Ready, Set Go! programming for youth, running five nights a week, including during the summer and on PD Days. Our purposeful programs focus on supporting mental health, education, independence skills, and fostering cultural and social connections. With a safe and welcoming environment, youth are given the opportunity to learn, grow, and have fun.
Elmwood offers a range of versatile bookable spaces, including a gymnasium, community kitchen, meeting rooms, and outdoor greenspace. These spaces are available for community organizations to utilize, providing a great environment for various events and activities.

The Elmwood donation boutique provides a free shopping experience for anyone receiving services from The Children’s Aid Society of the District of Nipissing and Parry Sound or the Trinity Infant Food Shelf. All clothing is donated by generous community members and is laundered by our caring volunteers who provide a friendly and relaxed boutique-like atmosphere.
The Youth Pantry is accessible at anytime to youth working with the Society and provides barrier-free access to nutritional perishable and non-perishable food.

Elmwood will bring the community together giving local organizations, children, youth and families the opportunity to unite in a centralized welcoming space.
More spaces mean more services and less appointments! Many people in our community face barriers to accessing multiple services and co-location helps reduce those barriers.
Through partnerships with The Gathering Place and other community organizations not only are we growing food but we are also growing our knowledge around sustainable food practices and eco-friendly ways of keeping our community and planet green!
A beautifully renovated facility will radiate positivity and generate memorable experiences for families, youth and the community.
By offering safe spaces for our community members to gather and take part in prevention and early intervention services we are increasing personal and public safety for the children, youth and families in our city.

Children's Aid Society receives $1.3 million donation for Elmwood site
The Children’s Aid Society of the District of Nipissing and Parry Sound received $1.3 million from North Bay native Steven Beauchamp and his family. The donation is in support of the redevelopment and expansion of the existing Beauchamp Youth Hub located at 140 Elmwood Avenue in North Bay.

The drama program will be using space at Elmwood.
The Children’s Aid Society of the District of Nipissing and Parry Sound has come to the rescue of Dreamcoat Fantasy Theatre.
CAS will be providing the space necessary to run Dreamcoat’s five-week Summer Program 2023 at the society’s 140 Elmwood location.

What was once an abandoned elementary school CAS North Bay has transformed the former St. Paul Elementary School.
is now a site that offers an array of wrap-around services for parents, youth and children. Inside the doors of Elmwood, formerly Ecole St. Paul, boasts a nurse practitioner clinic, a youth pantry, two classrooms and a clothing boutique.
